the mayor

After years of toiling away in a small inner-city apartment, making music in his bedroom closet, young rapper Courtney Rose is ready for his big break. Tired of waiting for opportunity, Courtney cooks up the publicity stunt of the century -- running for mayor of his hometown in California to generate buzz for his music career. His master plan goes wildly awry, ending in the most terrifying of outcomes: an election victory. With the help of his mother and friends, Courtney will have to overcome his hubris if he wants to transform the struggling city he loves.

All Rise Season 3

"All Rise” is a courthouse drama that follows the chaotic, hopeful, and sometimes absurd lives of its judges, prosecutors, and public defenders, as they work with bailiffs, clerks, and police to get justice for the people of Los Angeles amidst a flawed legal system. Among them is ‘Judge Lola Carmichael’ (Simone Missick), a highly regarded and impressive former deputy district attorney who has shown she doesn’t intend to sit back on the bench, but instead leans in, pushing the boundaries and challenging the expectations of what a judge can be.

A major theme in season three is new beginnings. After a year of COVID protocols, our characters who inhabit the Hall of Justice are ready to live. They are having fun finding themselves, fighting the good fight, shedding old habits and insecurities, and discovering the joy in their personal and professional lives as they seek out a new normal, new jobs, and new positions. All while they wrestle down old demons and discover new love in old relationships.

Colin in Black and White

Colin Kaepernick narrates this drama series recounting his formative years navigating race, class and culture while aspiring for greatness.

“Colin in Black and White seems to present this choice as a given – a natural thing for Kaepernick to look up to Black sports stars, seek to date Black women and embrace hip hop culture. But for him, and many biracial kids like him — including the former President of the United States – self-identifying as a Black man can be an affirmative choice.

And in today's increasingly multiracial society, it's a choice more young people are negotiating everyday."
